I'm being threatened with negative feedback, is it extortion?

Feedback extortion is against eBay's rules. However, it's sometimes quite difficult to decide what is Feedback Extortion and what isn't. How do you decide? If a buyer threatens you with negative feedback, then it's not necessarily feedback extortion. For example, if they say that the item is not as described, faulty or damaged, and they wish to send it back or they will leave negative feedback, then this is their right, and is not considered feedback extortion.

If on the other hand, they say they want to keep the item, and have a refund, then this would be considered feedback extortion, and actionable by eBay. Click the link for a detailed explanation of eBay's policy. If in doubt, you can Report it to eBay, and let them decide.
